and I built houses
for the faeries
where we lived
round the corner
on our housing estate
and my father moaned
that they were building
new houses
across the way
blocking our view
of the fields
and Salisbury Plain
where we used to play
cycling up to the ghost town
one day
sheltering in empty shelters
the wind whispering
through broken walls
